Martha is an artist and printmaker living and working in Haines Junction, Yukon. She creates bold linocut prints and mixed media artworks inspired by the natural beauty that surrounds her home. Her images of mountains, skies, trees, plants and birds are intended to give viewers an intimate glimpse of the life that thrives in the northern boreal forest and vast northern landscape.
Martha received her formal training from Emily Carr College of Art and Design where she majored in printmaking. She has been building her art practice for 35 years. She is known primarily for her linoleum cut prints but her artistic practice also includes drawing, painting and textiles.
Martha’s art has been shown in solo and group exhibitions in the Yukon, British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario and is in private collections in Canada, United States, Germany and England.
