
Maya was born and raised in Israel and moved to Whitehorse, Yukon in 2014. Before that she lived in numerous places around the world, including Haifa, New York, and Calgary and has travelled extensively. She has exhibited in several galleries and juried shows, including Arts Underground, The Community Art Gallery at the Yukon Arts Center and has represented the Yukon at a gallery in Winnipeg.
Maya’s work is inspired by nature and the wilderness, her community, education and youth, her immigration and travels, and languages and communication. She shares her observations and experiences through an exploration of colors, forms and texture in the world around us.
Maya teaches painting workshops around the Yukon.
