Sunday May 17, 1-3 pm: Relief Printmaking on painted paper with Linda Leon!
This is a two-hour, hands-on, workshop.
Participants will paint printmaking paper with watercolours. While the paper is drying, they will cut a simple image onto a relief printing plate that they will then print onto their now colourful paper. Participants will leave with at least one completed beautiful print, and take away their original plate so that they can make their own prints later. Maximum of 6 participants per class.
Adults and children 12 years and older.
Cost per participant: $110, including all supplies.

Monday May 25, 5-7 pm: Intro to hand building in commercial and wild Yukon clay with Nicole Bauberger
We will explore basic hand building techniques including pinch pots, slab building, scoring with slip, and coil building. We will do this using two different kinds of clay so as to observe the differences between them – M340, the whitish clay most commonly used at Arts Underground, and Yukon clay
sourced from the shores of Marsh Lake. In about a week, participants will be able to pick up their fired pieces.
Cost per participant: $115 including materials/firing

Sunday, June 14th, 1-3 pm: Assemblage Art as Play and Storytelling with Janet Patterson
Curious about how to use random, found objects to tell a story? Join Janet for a fun, family-friendly workshop where you will choose up to five small objects from Janet’s vast collection to create a scene inside a sardine tin. This is all about imaginative play and whimsy. Ages 6 to 96+ (children must be accompanied by an adult).
Cost per participant: $105, including all supplies. Note that if you have special objects you want to incorporate in your piece, bring them along.
